Extreme Applications Call For Extreme Materials

Seneca Rubber is capable of supplying parts for any number of “extreme” applications. These special polymers are highly engineered for improved heat, chemical, and/or high pressure resistance.

Highly fluorinated fluorocarbons use a peroxide curing system for improved resistance to steam and acid. Additionally, these materials generally have better low-temperature flexibility than standard fluorocarbons.

GLT - GLT fluorocarbons offer excellent low-temperature flexibility and fluid resistance similar to A-Type.

GFLT - GFLT fluorocarbons combine excellent low-temperature flexibility and fluid resistance similar to F-Type.

EPT - ETP fluorocarbons were developed as a cost-effective alternative to perfluoroelastomers, while offering similar reliable service in aggressive chemicals, but at a fraction of the cost. ETP fluorocarbons also have excellent resistance to low molecular weight carbonyls, amines, and caustic bases.

FFKM Perfluoroelastomers - Seneca Rubber has a full line of FFKM materials, named PERFREZ

Our PERFREZ materials have the ideal conjunction of characteristics, including high temperature and

excellent chemical resistance, as well as high levels of elasticity.

PERFREZ O-rings and seals are:

  • Inspected per ISO 3601-3 Grade CS for “Critical Service”, where the surface of the parts must be nearly perfect to perform as intended in applications requiring the highest levels of precision with respect to dimensional tolerances and surface defects.
  • Manufactured and packaged via USP Class VI, ultraclean processes.

Rapid Gas Decompression  - Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) resistance, also referred to as Explosive Decompression Resistance (EDR), is critically important for elastomers in high pressure oil & gas applications. Seneca offers several several NORSOK certified RGD resistant materials in HNBR, FKM and FFKM
